Guide: How to Drawing Eyes

Now, the next training is practicing to draw the eyes. And here are the steps you can try:

Step 1
Prepare a drawing head that we made earlier.

Step 2
Draw two horizontal lines with the distance according to your taste. The farther the distance between the lines, the bigger the shape of the eyes. This forms are generally used in girl comics (shoujo manga) and it is usually characterized as teenagers or children. Instead, if you want to draw small eyes, just make the line spacing closer.

Step 3
Make eyebrow that starts from the center line of the circle. Don't draw it too high, that will make the eyebrows placed on the forehead. Men's eyebrows usually made thicker than women's eyebrows.

Step 4
Continue to make the top of the eye. You can add the eyelids or eyelashes if necessary. The top of the eyes usually made thicker than the eyebrows.

Step 5
Now, draw the bottom of the eye. Could be drawn straight or curved downward. Or, it could also not to be drawn if it's your style.

Step 6
And then we draw the eyeballs. Eyeballs can be made round or a bit square. It can also be drawn right in middle or stuck between the top and bottom of the eye. Or, it can also be created under the top of the eye (depending on taste).

Step 7
Make the eyes glow in the eyeball. The glow does not have to be on top, it can also be under or beside. Or it could be no glow (eyeball-block in black or white). Then, add the eye spot under the glow.

Step 8
Then, delete the guidelines. And, we're done! You can look for variations in the eyes of the comics that you like.
