Guide: How to Drawing Hair (incompleted)

The type and hair style is very diverse, there are short haired, long haired, straight, curly, and wavy. Remember, the hair consists four essential parts, ie bangs, side hair (pot), the top, and the back of the head. Hair is the most important points in a variety of characters. So, make more variations of the hair in order to create different characters.

Step 1
First of all, give a limit line on the forehead as the growth of hair pony, and outside the circle as the boundary line of the hairstyle. Note the direction of the hair growth. Sometimes there is a hair which against the direction of gravity (rising upward), or even rigid to the side.

Step 2
If the character that you create have a pony hair, then draw a line just above the pony line. When
you make pony on the side (left or right), start from that direction. The pony can be drawn pointy or flat at the tip, and can also be made longer until covering the eyes or it can be short. Do not forget to add the pot or side hair (can be long or short).

Step 3
Draw the hairstyle from the top, then finish it to the bottom. If you want to make the main character in your manga, use a simple hairstyle. This will allow you to re-draw the character easily. Especially if you're going to make a lot of characters besides the main character.

Step 4
Finally, if the character's hair is not an all-black colored, give details such as hair line, by giving
thinner scratches inside he hair. You can also add a tone or all-black color as a variation of the hair coloring.
