Guide: How to Drawing Head

Firstly, let's draw the Head. I think it is the most easiest part to draw, but actually it's not really as easy as I thought ^^"
A human head has many forms adopted to the characters and age. In the manga, drawing the head shape can be made as easy and as attractive as possible. Here are the following stages of drawing the head:

Step 1
Make a circle as a depiction of the head (any head shape).

Step 2
Generally, human heads have symmetrical shapes. So, draw a vertical line right in the middle of the circle. Now the circle looks divided into two sides, left and right. The vertical line serves to determine the direction of character's view (turned to the left or right).

Step 3
Draw a horizontal line approximately ¾ from the bottom of the circle. This line can be used to create the position of the head (up or down). Now, the circle seems divided into four parts.

Step 4
Add one more horizontal line. This line is used to balance the jaw line. The line could be placed far from the circle or even close to the circle (depending on your tastes, you want to make the character as an adult or child). Right on the vertical line, place the point of the chin. If you want to create an adult character, place the point of the chin a bit far from the circle. Instead, for children's character, place the point of the chin close to the circle.

Step 5
Draw a head line to the jaw limit. Make the line a bit skewed, but if you find it difficult, you can also use a straight line.

Step 6
From the jaw line, connect it to the point of the chin. The chin can be drawn as taper-shaped or square (depends on the desired characteristics of the image).

Step 7
Finally, delete the guidelines to finish it. Now we already know how to draw a head. This is an example of a boy/girl’s head.
